It can be seen that there exist great differences between the advertising methodologies of the real world and the virtual world. Advertising in the virtual world can be said to be different from advertising in brand building in the real world. Brand building in the virtual world does not cost much at all (in relation to advertising in the real world). In the real world, banners and commercials are extremely costly. Another difference lies in the fact that real world advertising has a history, wherein it is an accepted concept and idea. On the other hand, virtual (online) marketing is still a relatively newer notion.
